A few of the types of ceremonies that I do include:
Weddings
Your Wedding Day is one of the most personal and special days of your life and you want the right
marriage celebrant.
Make your wedding ceremony anything you want it to be, from light, modern or traditional,
and anything in between reflecting modern choices in today’s society. These ceremonies are
all personally designed to your requirements.
Your family traditions can be embraced. Australia is a meeting place of many cultural
backgrounds and your ceremony can reflect this partnership.
I attend to all the legal documentation and ensure that all requirements are professionally
completed. You can then enjoy your preparations and to relax and enjoy every minute of
your wonderful day.
I can be contacted at any time should you require further information, or to make an
obligation-free appointment to meet with me.
Naming Ceremonies
A naming ceremony is the opportunity to celebrate the birth of a new baby or to welcome a
new child of any age into your family or a new relationship.
Each Naming Ceremony is designed according to the needs of each family. The Child’s
parents, any grandparents and also “Supporting Adults” who are lifelong mentors to the child
are fully involved in the ceremony.
In addition to this up to 3 guests can be nominated to each perform a reading. I have a
selection of readings for you to choose from or you can provide your own. You are also
welcome to choose music for playing during the ceremony.
Renewal of Vows Ceremonies
This is a special ceremony for couples who wish to renew their vows in a personal and unique
way. You may have been married abroad and wish to declare your love for each other with
your family and friends, or you may wish to mark a special anniversary (for example, 25
years together) as a couple to re-affirm your love in a personal way before your friends and
loved ones.
All Renewal of Vows Ceremonies are designed to be personalised and unique to you.
Commitment Ceremonies
A commitment ceremony is available to any couple who wish to make a public declaration of
their love and commitment to each other in the presence of their friends and family.
Although it has no legal status it is often a means for a couple to still make a public
declaration of their love and commitment to each other who may for whatever reason not
wish to or be able to form a marriage or civil partnership.
Each ceremony is designed according to the needs of the partners and can be personalised
by including promises to each other, readings and music
Funerals - Celebration of Life
Many of the ceremonies that I perform are created over many months of planning, however
funerals are very different and are usually arranged within a few days.
Funerals can be confronting. Strong emotional connections to people can make it difficult
to find the words ot express how we feel. We can feel gratitude for their contribution to our
lives but we can find it difficult to express the words that accurately portray the impact of
their lives on their family and community.
How do you sum up someone’s life in a short eulogy? How do you determine what have been
the most important achievements in a life? I can offer the support and guidance needed to
prepare a personal celebration of life.
The carefull choice of readings, poems, and music become the building blocks of celebrating
a unique life. I encourage the participation of family and friends in building and presenting
the service on the day.
While the celebrant plays an important part in running the service I often find the best
services are those where important memories are shared by those that know the person
best.
